Toyota V6 Hilux Heroes

Toyota V6 Hilux Heroes

The Toyota V6 HiLux Heroes will once again be performing at the ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show. Four of Australia's top drivers will pilot the slightly modified V6 HiLux's in a range of high speed drifting, nose-to-nose driving, reverse hand break turn flicks, and high speed crossovers.

Other highlights of the V6 HiLux Heroes performance include a stunt in which the driver balances the HiLux on two wheels and another featuring a 12m ramp-to-ramp jump. Between them the Toyota V6 HiLux Heroes team has several decades of experience in a range of motorsport categories from rallying to drifting, motorkhanas, dirt circuit racing and stunt work. Driving the unbreakable 4x2 V6 Toyota HiLux, the stunt vehicles have been beefed up in the suspension department, received modified exhaust systems, and 16 inch alloy wheels, tailored with SAAS sport seats, racing harnesses, as well as a safety roll cage.

The Royal Canberra Art Show attracts more than 300 entries each year. A wide range of traditional and abstract styles will be on display covering subjects such as landscapes, portraits, still life, mixed media, calligraphy and photography.

Did you know that watercolour paper is not really paper at all? It is actually pressed cotton cloth.

There is a high chance that schools will be able to see the work of their fellow students on display in one of the young images sections of the art show. So why not come down and see the variety of creative talent on display?

In 2011, the Art Section holds a sponsored competition specifically aimed at High School students (12-17). This is a guessing competition of various painted and other mediums. This is in memory of Lisa Jean by the Allan Family. The first 5 correct entries win $20 cash. To participate, simply fill in the form attached in the Education Handbook and return to one of our friendly stewards when you visit the Art Pavilion.
