Celebrating the Centenary of Canberra

The Needlework Sub-Section at the 2013 ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show offers a range of classes to enter for those who enjoy employing the techniques of needlework to create intricate and eye catching works!

What Classes can be entered in the Needlework Sub-Section? 

Open to all ages are the following challenges:

• Any article of Canvas Work or Cross Stitch depicting your interpretation of ‘Celebrating the Centenary of Canberra’
• Any article of Embroidery depicting your interpretation of ‘Celebrating the Centenary of Canberra’
• Great Canberra Scarf Competition
  The Great Canberra Scarf Competition, sponsored by Galifrey Alpaca Textiles, provides the opportunity for needlework enthusiasts to use their creativity and imagination to make a scarf reflecting the theme of ‘Centenary of Canberra’.

To cater for all levels of experience and ability in needlework, there are competitive classes for non professional exhibitors (have less than 2 years experience), non professionals (with more than 2 years experience), professionals, seniors (65 years and older) and a section just for schools including Primary, High School and College.

Start your needlework creations! 

Have your entry form submitted by 14 December 2012 (refer Crafts Expo Schedule 2013) and then deliver your creative works on the due date in February 2013.
