NOTICE - CHANGE OF JUDGE

Late Monday evening we were informed that Mr Laurent Pichard from Switzerland had fallen suddenly and seriously ill and is not able to judge for the 2013 Royal Canberra Show. This is very disappointing for all concerned, exhibitors and organisers alike.

In the very short time available Miss Beth Warman from New Zealand has kindly agreed to stand in and judge in place of Mr Laurent Pichard.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused exhibitors.

22-24 February 2013 | Centenary Year

2013 is the Centenary of the foundation of Canberra. The 2013 ACTEWAGL Royal Canberra Show has been making Centenary arrangements for some time and we expect to make the 2013 Dog Section one for all exhibitors to remember.

Sponsors have been very supportive, some returning and some new ones. The considerably increased value of prizes will be made known when all details have been settled. There will be cash prizes for major awards, for example we currently expect the Best in Show award will include $1000, as well as sponsors product and the usual high quality engraved prizes.

The panel of judges contracted is very attractive and will be of interest to most exhibitors.

We are pleased to have the internationally acclaimed judge, Mr J. Reynolds of Canada to judge Best in Show; by popular request Mr L. Pichard of Switzerland was scheduled to judge but is now unable to travel due to sudden and serious illness, Miss Beth Warman from New Zealand will judge in his place. We have well known Gundog Specialist Mr F Whyte of UK.

We had engaged Dr S Keating of USA to judge but, since the schedule went to publication, Dr. Keating has advised that unfortunately he is unable to come to Australia. We now have contracted replacements for Dr Keating.

The Utility Group will be judged by Mr Tom Johnston of UK on the Friday and Saturday and the Toy Group by Mrs Norma Fearn of New Zealand on the Saturday and Sunday.
